Recently, the supreme court declined Trump's act to end the Obama era program that aims to protect 700,000 immigrants from deportation. This means these illegal immigrans, called "dreamer", would stay in the United States legally. The reason that Donald Trump want to end the program is because he thinks it as an unconstitutional use of executive power of his predessor. He also thinks immigrants are a big threat to the American people and further development of the United States. From my perspective, the Supreme court's decision has its pros and cons. The biggest advanteage is that it protects the rights of immigrants from illegal wroungdoings by the government. Also, it is the embodiment of the American Dream. However, the disadvantage is that it might encourage illegal immigrantion. Illegal immigrants might become the source of crimes that make the society unsafe. Recently,  there is a shocking news about China that the Chinese ruling party is to drop the presidency term limit, which is to say that the current president has a potential to stay in office for his whole life times. In the 1982 consititution of China, the law states that a president could stay in position for two term maximumly, with each term containing five years. This practice is set by government officals of that time to prevent one-man dictatorship. From my perspective, the removal of the presidential term limits has advantages and disadvantages. Advantage is the this practice could improve governmental efficiency. Due to the lack of conflicting power against the leader, the leader could make decision efficiently and put it into practice as soon as possible. Recently, the mass shooting in a high school in Florida has shocked the whole United States. President Trump signaled support for the new bill that aims to improve federal background check system. This bill requires federal agencies to report various felonies, indictment and other crimes into the federal database and creates financial incentives for state agencies to do so. However, I really doubted whether this bill would be effective in decrease mass shooting. Many mass shooters do not have any criminal records before they commit the felony. This bill only prevents people already with criminal records from owning a gun. I think direct gun control is the powerful way to eliminate mass shooting. Gun gives people an easy access to hurt others. When someone gets annoyed, owning a gun gives him or her higher probability of going out and shooting people. I read an article discussing whether political correctness movement has gone too far in nowadays. The article stated that political correctness today has hindered people from getting to know a different culture, ethnic group, religion and sexual orientation and put a gag on the whole American society. I really agree with this article. The initial intent of political correctness was good. PC intended to eliminate discrimination against the minor groups and encouraged people to respect and care other's feelings. However, political correctness would impose negative impacts on the society once it has gone too far. In nowadays, it is very easy for some political correctness policy to use it as a tool to attach others regardless of dropping such hat is appropriate.
